Live redesign

For those of you who are wondering just what the hell happened to this website: I'm finishing up my new design. Some bits need to be moved around, some bits need a dash of color, and I figured that the easiest way to find out what needs fixing is to just upload the new stylesheet, and hack away from there.

What do you think so far? Am I doing something terribly wrong, or is this heading the right way?

Oh, and, update: I'm using some new and fancy CSS3 that Internet Explorer will probably start to support around 2020 at the earliest, so for the full effect, use a decent browser.

    Thanks, John. I was wondering whether or not the purple background would be a bit too much, but after spending some time with it, I'm starting to really like it.
