How to Fix the Numeric Keypad in Ubuntu

For second time in a week the numeric keypad on my keyboard stopped working under Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat). And since I had to, once again, Google the solution, I might as well post it here as a mental note-to-self: CTRL + SHIFT + NUMLOCK
