It’s thursday evening, and for the seventh week in a row, I’m sitting at home instead of playing volleyball. And I think it’s safe to say that for me the season is over.
April 16, which was incidently seven weeks ago, was the the last round of our recreative volleyball competition. That night, we had to play six games (two sets of 13 minutes), and the final four of those were back to back to back to back. About five minutes before the end of the final set of the evening, all at once, muscles started to ache that had no business aching, my knee started to act up again… you know, the works.
Since then, the aching muscles have stopped aching, but my knee is still messed up. So tuesday, I went to see my doctor, and with more or less exactly the same story as I told him two and half years ago, this time I got a referral to an orthopedic surgeon. I’ll tell you more when there’s more to tell.
UPDATE 30/5: got an appointment next tuesday.
