First Lines: Paper Towns.

John Green‘s Paper Towns kept me up ’til 3 in the morning. Two days in a row. The only reason I put it down was because I could not keep my eyes open any more and the words became a blur.

In Paper Towns, the socially awkward, nerdy male protagonist has this secret crush-like obsession with this übercool girl. One night, she needs his help, then disappears. As our hero tries to decode the clues she has left for him, he gets closer to her. In more ways than one.

Like his two other novels (1, 2), Paper Towns manages to push a lot of my buttons just the right way.
