Eefje de Visser’s second album, Het is, is cut from a different cloth then her debut, De koek. Both are singer/songwriter albums, but the electronic influences of the debut seemed to have vanished from her sophomore album. And this shines through in her live shows.
While you probably never went to her shows for the fancy dance-moves—all right, apart from that one video—to me it seemed even more reserved. At one time during the show, my inguinal hernia* started to act up, so I found a place upstairs to sit down. At the back of the balcony I couldn’t see a thing, but it didn’t matter. I sat back, enjoyed the music and dreamed away. And given the dreamy nature of the music, well, that.
